BILLIONAIRE MARRIES A WOMAN WITH NO LAST NAME AND NO ORIGIN — BUT ON THE WEDDING DAY, EVERYONE STOPS WHEN THE RICHEST IN THE COUNTRY BOWS TO THE “SIMPLE” BRIDE
Liam is the country’s Most Eligible Bachelor and heir to the Ferell Group. Handsome, rich, and highly regarded. Everyone expected him to marry the daughter of a politician or a fellow billionaire.
But Liam surprised the world. He introduced his fiancée: Aria.
Aria has no known family. She grew up in an orphanage. She worked as a flower shop assistant. She dresses simply, has no jewelry, and is quiet.
Liam’s mother, Donya Beatrice, was furious.
“Liam! Are you crazy?!” Donya shouted at the dinner table. “You’re marrying a… adopted child? A woman with no last name? Maybe she’s just a gold digger! You’re ruining our family lineage!”
“Mom, I love Aria,” Liam replied firmly. “I don’t care where she comes from. She has a good heart.”
Aria just kept quiet, bowing her head. She was used to being bullied.
“Let it go, Liam,” Aria whispered. “I’m used to no one knowing me.”
The wedding day arrived.
It was held in a vast Cathedral. Donya Beatrice and other relatives were forced to attend so as not to be embarrassed by the media. But deep down, they hated Aria.
As Aria walked down the aisle, all she could hear was whispers.
“Look at that gown, how simple. No crystals.”
“Poor Liam, trapped by a nobody.”
“What a shame the Ferell race.”
When they were at the altar, the church door suddenly opened loudly.
BLAG!
A group of men in black suits entered. In the middle of them, an old man walked with a cane. His presence was frightening and full of power.
Everyone’s eyes widened. They knew this old man.
Don Gustavo Del Fuego.
He was the richest man in all of Asia. The owner of banks, airlines, and shipping lines. The Ferell family (Liam’s family) was like ants compared to the wealth of the Del Fuegos.
“Don Gustavo?!” Donya Beatrice whispered in surprise. “Why is he here? We didn’t invite him! He’s higher than the President!”
Don Gustavo walked towards the altar. The priest stopped.
Donya Beatrice thought that Don Gustavo would stop the wedding because their family was in arrears.
Don Gustavo stood in front of Aria. He stared at the bride’s face. He stared at the necklace Aria was wearing—an old sun-shaped locket.
The old billionaire’s hand was shaking.
“Daughter…” Don Gustavo’s voice was raspy. “Where did you get that necklace?”
Aria was surprised. “This? My mother left it to me at the orphanage before she died in an accident when I was a baby. This is all I remember of her.”
Don Gustavo’s tears flowed. He knelt in front of Aria.
The entire church gasped. The most powerful man, kneeling over an “orphan”?
“My God… thank you,” Don Gustavo cried. “I’ve been looking for you for twenty years.”
Don Gustavo faced the people, holding Aria’s hand.
“This woman… the one you call ‘nobody’… she is Arabella Del Fuego.”
Donya Beatrice was stunned. She felt like she was going to faint.
“She is my missing grandson,” Don Gustavo explained. “The only son of my deceased daughter. She is the Sole Heiress of the Del Fuego Empire. All my wealth—the billions of dollars, the islands, the companies—will go to her.”
The entire church fell silent.
The woman they had scorned for not having a last name… was richer and more powerful than all of them combined.
Don Gustavo approached Liam.
“Son,” the old man said. “You married my grandson when everyone thought he was worthless. That means your love is real. I accept you for my grandson.”
Don Gustavo looked at Donya Beatrice who was trembling with fear in a corner.
“And you, Beatrice,” the Don looked sharply. “I heard how you insulted my grandson. From now on, I will remove all my investments in your company. Let’s see who will be ‘hurt’ when your business collapses.”
“D-Don Gustavo… forgive me!” Donya Beatrice knelt down, begging Aria. “Aria… son… sorry…”
Aria looked at her mother-in-law. She didn’t get angry. She just smiled sadly.
“Donya Beatrice, I have forgiven you. But wealth cannot buy respect. I hope you have learned.”
The wedding went ahead. But now, it was no longer the wedding of a billionaire and an orphan. It had become a “Royal Wedding” of two of the most powerful families.
Liam had proven that his decision to choose the heart was right. And Aria? From being a nobody, she was now the queen that everyone looked up to, not because of her new wealth, but because of her pure heart that remained humble despite everything.
