SHE WAS INVITED TO THE REUNION JUST TO BE LETTERED AND SAY FAREWELL AS A “ASSISTANT”—BUT EVERYTHING STOPPED WHEN A HELICOPTER CRASHED TO FOLLOW THE REAL PRINCESS.

Elena is known in her High School batch as the “Scholar of the Laundry Girl.” For four years, she endured the bullying of Bea and her group.

Ten years have passed. Elena receives an invitation to the Grand High School Reunion .

“Elena! Come on,” Bea said over the phone, her voice full of sarcasm. “We heard you were leaving for abroad to become a Domestic Helper? What a shame. Go ahead, we’ll have a farewell party for you. Wear something comfortable, okay? You might be the one serving the drinks, you’re used to that, right?”

Instead of getting angry, Elena just smiled. “Okay, Bea. I’ll go. I’ll wear my uniform so you can see.”

Reunion night. It was held in the garden of an expensive hotel. Everyone was wearing gowns and suits. Jewelry was shining. The atmosphere was uplifting.

Elena arrived.

Their suspicions were correct. She was wearing a simple maid’s uniform —a white blouse, a black skirt, and an apron . She had no make-up.

When she entered, the surroundings fell silent. Then, Bea’s group burst into laughter.

“Oh my G!” Bea shouted while holding the wine glass. “It’s true! Our maid really wore a uniform ! Girls, look at her! It suits her so well!”

The former bullies approached Elena. They surrounded her.

“Elena,” Bea teased. “I was going to get some wine, can you get it for me? After all, that’s your job abroad, right? Have you been practicing yet?”

“Yes, of course,” another one chimed in. “What a waste of your intelligence in high school. You were valedictorian, and then you failed only Nanny ? What a pitiful person you are.”

Elena bowed. She didn’t answer. She let them talk. She let them release all the poison in their bodies.

“Why aren’t you answering?” Bea pushed Elena’s shoulder. “Are you speechless with shame? You know, you shouldn’t have come. You’re ruining the view of the rich.”

In the midst of their laughter, the earth suddenly shook .

WOW! WOW! WOW!

A strong wind blew away the decorations in the garden. Table cloths and napkins flew. The guests were in a panic.

“What’s that?! Is there a storm?!” shouted a visitor.

They looked up.

A large, shiny Royal Helicopter with a golden insignia descends into the middle of the open field of the hotel garden. The emblem on its side is the Royal Crest of the Kingdom of Altaria .

“H-Helicopter?!” Bea shouted in surprise. “Who’s coming? Is there a VIP?”

The helicopter landed. The door opened.

Six men wearing military uniforms covered in medals got off, and two female attendants carrying robes made of silk and gold .

The soldiers ran and surrounded the garden. They blocked the visitors.

“Secure the area!” the Captain shouted.

Bea and her classmates were scared. “What’s going on? Who are you?!”

The Captain of the Royal Guards walked towards the center of the group… directly towards Elena .

Bea thought Elena would be arrested.

“You’re late! Maybe you stole something that’s why the police are picking you up!” Bea shouted.

But everyone was shocked when the Captain and the soldiers simultaneously KNEELED before Elena.

“Your Royal Highness,” the Captain greeted with his head bowed. “Your vehicle back to the Palace is ready. Your father the King is waiting for you.”

Bea stopped breathing. The glass of wine she was holding fell.

Elena slowly removed her apron . She handed it to an attendant. The attendant then dressed her in the Royal Robe and placed a sparkling Diamond Tiara on her head .

Elena turned to face Bea. Her face, which had been gentle before, was now filled with Regal Authority .

“B-Bea,” Elena said. Her voice was calm but with emphasis. “You’re right. I’m leaving for abroad. But not to be a maid.”

“I’m going back to my grandfather’s kingdom to rule it.”

“P-Princess…?” Bea stammered. “P-But… you’re the daughter of a laundress… you’re just poor…”

Elena smiled.

“The woman you called ‘laundry’ is the former Princess who fled the palace because she wanted to live a simple life and away from politics. We lived a poor life so that I could experience real life. But now that she’s gone… I’m the next Queen.”

Elena approached Bea. Bea’s knees were shaking.

“I came here in uniform for a reason,” Elena whispered. “I want to see if you’ve changed. I want to know if you have a heart for those you look down on. But sadly… your manners are still rotten .”

Elena faced the Captain.

“Captain, list the names of these people. Make sure their family businesses never set foot on the land of Altaria. They are banned from my Kingdom.”

“Yes, Your Highness!”

Elena boarded the helicopter.

As it rose into the air, Bea and her classmates were left below—stunned, ashamed, and remorseful. The “helper” they had wronged was actually a blue-blood who wielded power beyond their reach.

For the last time, Elena waved from the window—not as a servant’s farewell, but as a Queen’s farewell to those who were unworthy of her presence.
